Lemon Icebox Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can condensed milk
    2 egg yolks
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    2 c. vanilla wafers
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    rind of lemon
Preparation
    Mix milk, lemon juice and rind.
    Stir until thick.
    Add beaten egg yolks. Mix melted shortening with vanilla wafer crumbs and press firmly into pan.
    Pour filling into pan and top with meringue.
    Beat 2 egg whites very stiff.
    Add 2 tablespoons of sugar.
    Blend well.
    Spread on pie. Place in oven until brown. Let cool and chill in refrigerator.
