Easy Low-Fat Chili(Makes 7 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 c. water, divided
    15 oz. navy beans
    14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes, undrained
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    16 oz. Great Northern beans
    6 oz. can tomato paste
    2 to 4 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Rinse and drain all beans.
    In a large saucepan, cook the onion and pepper in 1/2 cup of water until tender.
    Add beans, tomato paste, tomatoes, seasonings and remaining water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, simmer covered, about 20 minutes.
