Pecan Taffy Strips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 sticks butter
    1 egg yolk
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolk and beat.
    Add flour, cinnamon and vanilla.
    Press into ungreased biscuit pan.
    Beat 2 whites slightly and add 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Spread over top with hand.
    Press in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes; cut into strips while hot.
