Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Blend together shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Add to first mixture and mix.
    Refrigerate 1 hour.
    Then roll dough in balls the size of a walnut.
    Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
    Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Bake until lightly brown but still soft.
    (These puff up at first then flatten out.)
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
