Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
3 c. sugar
4 1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter; add milk.
Heat to scalding.
Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and vanilla and swirl into milk.
Strain into a 9-inch pastry lined pan.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 470\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
(Brush crust with unbeaten egg white before adding custard mix.)
