Aunt Grace'S Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cans pineapple juice
    2 large bottles ginger ale
    1 pkg. lime jello
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 qt. boiling water
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in 1 1/2 qt boiling water.
    Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
    Let cool.
    Mix with pineapple juice and stir. Chill.
    Add ginger ale when ready to serve.
    Add ice or lime sherbet.
