Ingredients

3/4 lb. butter
1/2 lb. sugar
8 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. essence of lemon
1 small nutmeg, grated
1/2 lb. flour
1/2 lb. grated coconut
Preparation

Beat to a fine cream butter and sugar; gradually add eggs, then mix in lemon and nutmeg.
Mix all well together, then stir in lightly flour, in turn with grated coconut.
Pour mixture in well-buttered pan and bake quickly.
