Sauteed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1 medium onion
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1 large head cabbage
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Dice bacon and brown in 2-quart pot.
    Peel and dice onion, add to rendered bacon in pot.
    Slice smoked sausage and add to bacon and onion.
    Cook approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Quarter cabbage, pull apart and add to pot.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover pot and cook on medium heat until tender.
    Do not add water and do not overcook.
