Honey Baked Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large baking or cooking apples
3 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
3 Tbsp. raisins
1 c. water
1/3 c. honey
1 cinnamon stick (2-inches long)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Core apples to within 1/2-inch of bottom.
In a cup, mix walnuts and raisins.
Fill the cored apples with the mixture and place in a baking dish.
In a small saucepan, combine the water, honey and cinnamon.
Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
Remove cinnamon and pour over apples.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 until apples are tender, about 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
Serves 6.
