Crackling Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 c. milk
    3 c. cracklings
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. bacon drippings (optional)
Preparation
    Place cubed crackings in baking pan.
    Cook in oven at 375\u00b0 until crispy, but not browned.
    Mix dry ingredients with milk, water and bacon drippings.
    Fold in cracklings and bake 35 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
