Waikiki Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2/3 c. cracker crumbs
    1/3 c. minced onion
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 (13 1/2 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, drain and reserve juice
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
Preparation
    Mix meat, crumbs, onion, salt, egg, ginger and milk. Shape mixture by rounded tablespoonful into balls.
    Melt shortening in a large skillet. Brown and cook meat balls.
    Remove meat balls and keep warm.
