Fried Squirrel(Modern) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 squirrels
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. water
    lard
Preparation
    Cut squirrels in half.
    Dredge squirrels with mixture of salt, pepper and flour.
    Fry in hot lard in heavy skillet until golden. Drain off all but 2 tablespoons of lard.
    Boil 1 1/2 cups of water and pour over squirrel.
    Cover and cook over a low heat for 1 hour.
