Banana And Peanut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. coarsely chopped salted peanuts
    10 to 12 bananas, sliced 1/2 inch thick
Preparation
    Boil sugar, water and vinegar 10 minutes in a small heavy saucepan.
    Remove from heat.
    Very slowly pour boiled liquid over eggs in a small mixing bowl, stirring constantly.
    This must be done slowly.
    Return mixture to saucepan, add butter and stir over medium heat 1 minute.
    Cool completely.
    Just before serving pour over bananas and peanuts and toss.
