Country Cooked Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. fresh green beans, broken
    1/2 to 1 lb. country bacon
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 large onion
Preparation
    In a heavy pot, pour 2 quarts of water, meat, sugar and salt. Let boil while preparing beans.
    Wash beans well.
    Add to boiling mixture.
    After cooking about 1 hour, add onion.
    Let cook until liquid is low.
