Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

lettuce, chopped or torn
cucumbers, thinly sliced
tomatoes, diced or cubed
bell pepper, chopped
celery, chopped
1 can LeSueur green peas, drained
3 boiled eggs, sliced
homemade mayonnaise
1/2 lb. fried crumbled bacon
1 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation

Layer first 7 ingredients in pretty glass bowl; use whatever amount of each that it takes to fill bowl almost to the top.
Of course you can use your own choice of vegetables and in the order you prefer to put them in (this is just my preference).
Then cover the top with a thick coat of mayonnaise.
To me, the homemade mayo is what makes this salad special.
Sprinkle grated cheese generously over mayonnaise, then bacon on top of cheese.
