Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. sifted cake flour, divided
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract (optional)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 or 4 drops butter flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating 30 seconds after each.
    Stir 1 cup flour into creamed mixture until blended.
    Combine buttermilk, soda, salt, lemon extract, vanilla extract and butter flavoring.
    Stir 1/2 of buttermilk mixture into creamed mixture until blended. Stir 1 cup flour into creamed mixture, then remaining buttermilk mixture, and end with 1 cup flour.
    Pour into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Cool 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan.
    Don't fill pan too full; it overflows when cooking.
