Darrin'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. boiling water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir together dry ingredients and blend in. Beat until smooth. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9 pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve hot with whipped cream or applesauce.
