Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green tomatoes
    1 c. corn meal
    salt and pepper to taste
    shortening
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Roll in corn meal or shake together in Ziploc bag.
    Heat shortening in heavy skillet.
    Fry tomatoes slowly until brown. Serve hot.
