Grandmother'S Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening or butter
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time; add vanilla and remaining ingredients. Knead dough on floured board; chill dough. Roll out on floured board; cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
