Three Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. oil
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    5 hard beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix all ingredients except egg whites.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour batter equally into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Use your favorite icing to cover these layers.
