Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Melt shortening.
    Add brown sugar.
    Mix well and add eggs (one at a time), beating well after each one.
    Add dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips. Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
