Cookie Jar Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    additional sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream the shortening and 1 cup sugar. Beat in
    the egg and molasses.
    Combine flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon.
    Roll teaspoon of dough into balls.
    Dip one side of each ball into sugar.
    Place with sugar side up on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
