Ingredients

19 c. tomatoes
1 green pepper
9 Tbsp. olive oil
1 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. minced garlic
3 Tbsp. oregano
3 Tbsp. basil
1 bay leaf
6 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation

Put tomatoes and green pepper through the blender.
Cook onion in pan with olive oil until tender & add garlic.
In large pot mix in all other ingredients.
Add in 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste.
Add in the garlic/olive oil mixture.
Bring to a boil. Turn down & simmer for 30 minutes.\tPut into jars, seal & water bath for 40 minutes.
