Creamy Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. minced onion
    9 Tbsp. oleo
    3/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour
    4 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. grated carrots
    9 c. milk
    9 c. consomme or 4 1/2 c. and 4 1/2 c. water
    30 chopped broccoli florets
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
    Stir in flour and salt; gradually add milk, stirring constantly, in double boiler.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add broth; cook over low heat until serving time. Approximately 30 minutes before serving, add carrots and broccoli. Stir occasionally, but do not boil.
