Scotcharoos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Karo light syrup
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
6 c. Rice Krispies
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

In large saucepan cook Karo and sugar on low heat.
Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Add peanut butter.
Stir until melted. Add Rice Krispies.
Stir well until all Krispies are coated. Walnuts can also be added at this time.
In a double boiler melt both packages of morsels together.
In a 9 x 13-inch greased pan put Krispies in.
Flatten until even all around pan.
Spread melted morsels over top.
Refrigerate until hardened.
Cut and enjoy. When finished, Scotcharoos can be left at room temperature.
