Maple Drizzled Apple Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
5 1/3 Tbsp. margarine (Fleischmann's or Promise)
1 c. chopped apple
pecan halves (optional)
1 Tbsp. syrup
1 c. Quaker oats (uncooked)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. low-fat or skim milk
1/4 c. light pancake syrup
2 egg whites, slightly beaten
glaze (optional)
3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Line 12 medium cups.
Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon; mix well.
Add combined milk, margarine, syrup and egg whites.
Mix just until moistened.
Gently stir in apples.
Fill muffin cups almost full.
Top each with pecan halves, if desired.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
Glaze if you wish.
Makes 1 to 1 1/2 dozen.
