German Apple Pie - cooking recipe

1 (9-inch) pie shell
4 to 5 c. sliced apples
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 c. top milk
Preparation

Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry.
Slice apples in thick slices, about 1/4-inch thick.
Place sliced apples in overlapping position.
Sprinkle sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt over apples.
