Soft Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 15 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
    Refrigerate.
