Chinese Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head cabbage
1 medium onion (optional) or 4 green onions (plus tops)
1 bell pepper
2 carrots
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. salad oil
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery salt or seed
Preparation

Grate together cabbage, onion, bell pepper and carrots; set aside.
Combine sugar, salad oil, vinegar, salt, dry mustard and celery salt or seed.
Bring to boil.
Pour over cabbage mixture while still hot.
Cover and chill overnight.
Keeps 2 to 3 weeks.
