Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. brown sugar or 1/2 white
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening, molasses and eggs.
    Add hot water, then flour.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes in a 9 x 11-inch pan. Makes a big cake.
