Sweet-N-Sour Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cabbage
    onion
    bell pepper (optional)
    carrots (optional)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. pepper (black)
    1 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard, celery seed, pepper and oil.
    Bring to a boil.
    Let cool.
    Chop cabbage, onion, carrots and bell pepper.
    Alternate layers in large container.
    Pour cooled mixture over cabbage layers.
    Let stand in refrigerator at least 24 hours.
