Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. lentils
    6 c. water
    2 whole carrots, chopped
    2 sticks celery, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    dash of hot pepper
    2 cubes beef bouillon
    1 bay leaf
    2 heaping Tbsp. tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1 1/2 c. raw pasta
    oil
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until soft, add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add water and the rest of ingredients, except pasta. Bring to a boil. Cook 30 minutes on simmer covered.
    Cook pasta in a separate pot and then add to lentils.
