Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 small apples, cut up
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening, melted
2 eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Place apples in large bowl; cover with sugar and let stand 10 minutes.
Blend shortening and eggs into apples.
Sift dry ingredients; stir only to mix.
Add nuts and raisins.
Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Freezes well.
