Silver White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat flour, sugar, milk, shortening and vanilla on low speed for 30 seconds, then on high speed for 2 minutes.
    Beat in egg whites on high for 2 minutes.
    Pour into pan (2 round or 1 sheet pan).
    Bake layers for 30 to 35 minutes or sheet cake for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
