Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. oil
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 ?? ginger
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix oil, sugar and egg together.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add alternately to egg mixture with molasses and hot water mixture.
    Pour into a greased waxed paper lined 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Delicious treat served with whipped cream and grated cheese.
