Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. peanut butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Grease a loaf pan (use butter or oleo).
    Combine sugar, milk, corn
    syrup
    and salt in a 2-quart saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat,
    stirring
    constantly
    until sugar is dissolved. Cook, stirring occasionally, to 234\u00b0 on candy thermometer (or until small
    amount
    of
    mixture dropped into very cold water forms
    a soft
    balls which flatters when removed from water). Remove from heat.
    Add peanut butter and butter.
    Cool mixture to
    120\u00b0, without
    stirring.\tBottom of pan will be lukewarm. Add
    vanilla and
    beat
    vigorously
    for\t5 to 10 minutes with wooden
    spoon until
    candy
    is
    thick
    and
    no longer glossy. Spread in prepared pan.
    Cool until firm and cut into squares.
