Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large chopped yellow onions
    2 medium peeled and sliced carrots
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced thin
    4 c. beef broth
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1/2 c. barley
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil over moderate heat.
    Simmer gently, partly covered, for 40 minutes or until barley is tender.
