Picnic Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 medium potatoes
    1 1/2 c. prepared ranch salad dressing
    2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. bacon (cooked and crumbled and divided)
    Chopped fresh chives
Preparation
    Peel and quarter potatoes;
    place in a large saucepan or kettle and cover with water.
    Bring to a boil;
    cook until tender. Drain and transfer to a large bowl;
    mash (do not add milk, butter or seasoning).
    Add salad dressing and mix well.
    Add cheese, salt, pepper and half of the bacon.
    Spread evenly into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle with chives and remaining bacon.
    Bake uncovered, at 350\u00b0F. for 20 minutes.
