Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. bran flakes
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/3 c. shortening or oil
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar; set aside.
    Mix together bran flakes and milk; let stand until soft, 1 to 2 minutes, then add egg and oil.
    Beat well, then add dry ingredients to cereal mixture; stir until combined.
    Grease muffin tins.
    Makes 12 muffins.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
