Uncooked Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. sweet red pepper, chopped
1 qt. green pepper, chopped
1 qt. cabbage, chopped
2 tsp. celery seed
4 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
2 or 3 hot peppers (optional)
5 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Put each vegetable through food chopper using coarse blade. Drain off juice; discard.
Measure each vegetable after chopped. Mix vegetables with salt; let set overnight.
Next morning, drain off as much liquid as possible.
Add spices, sugar and vinegar to vegetables; mix well and pack in jars to within 1/2 inch of top. Put on cap; screw firmly.
Process in boiling water for 15 minutes.
