Nutmeg Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 c. Milnot
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Add
lemon
juice
to Milnot; set aside.
Cream together sugar and
shortening;
add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add
vanilla.
Sift
together dry ingredients; add
dry ingredients alternately with the Milnot to the creamed mixture. Drop
by rounded teaspoons onto floured cookie sheet. Bake
at 400\u00b0
for
8 to 10 minutes.
Cool.
Frost if desired. Store plain, then frost.
