Susan'S Shortcakes(For Strawberries) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening

Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Beat egg in measuring cup with milk.
Stir into flour mixture.
Drop in mounds on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Split while still hot and spread with butter.
