Ingredients

1/3 c. fresh minced parsley
2 green onions (shallots), minced, including tops
1 tsp. dried basil
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tsp. Crisco or other vegetable shortening (room temperature)
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. Dijon style mustard
Preparation

Combine the first 7 ingredients in the largest bowl you have and stir until well mixed and blended together.
Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
