Golden Pumpkin Pickle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. whole cloves
2 Tbsp. broken up stick cinnamon
4 lbs. white sugar
1 qt. cider vinegar
5 lbs. pumpkin, pared, cut in 1 inch cubes
Preparation

Tie spices in double thickness of cheese cloth.
Combine sugar and vinegar in large sauce pan
Add spice bag, bring to boiling. Add pumpkin, cook until tender.
Remove spice bag.
Spoon pumpkin into sterile jars.
Cover with syrup, seal at once.
Makes 5 pints.
