Homemade Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened at room temperature
    1 stick butter or margarine
    2 boxes 10x confectioners sugar
    3 drops oil of peppermint (may have to get at drugstore)
    3 drops food color of your choice
Preparation
    Mix all of the ingredients by hand. I use waxed paper and divide into 3 sections. Knead until soft enough to roll into a long thin roll. Cut either with scissors or a sharp knife. Let stay on waxed paper for about an hour, then store in airtight containers in the refrigerator. These will last for quite some time when stored this way.
