Black Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla wafers
    1 can Eagle Brand milk
    1/3 c. lemon juice (2 lemons)
    1 can black sweetened pitted cherries
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    sugar for whipping cream
Preparation
    Line bottom and sides of pan with whole vanilla wafers, standing up wafers to form crust.
    Crumble some wafers and fill spaces between bottom cookie layer to make crust.
    Mix lemon juice and Eagle Brand milk; stir until thick.
    Spread even over crust. Drain cherries and spread over top of filling; press down in filling.
    Whip and sweeten cream and spread over top.
    Crumble a few vanilla wafers and sprinkle over top.
    Store in refrigerator.
