Fresh Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mashed peaches
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 baked pie shell
    6 to 8 peaches, peeled
Preparation
    Cook peaches, sugar, water and cornstarch until thick.
    Add vanilla and butter.
    Fill baked pie shell with sliced, fresh peaches.
    Pour cooked mixture over sliced peaches.
    Refrigerate until set.
    Cut and serve with Cool Whip or ice cream on top.
