Basic Buttercream Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter, softened
1 lb. confectioners sugar, sifted
5 to 6 Tbsp. light cream
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter until fluffy; beat in sugar, a little at a time, adding alternately with cream.
Mix in vanilla and salt and beat until satiny and of good spreading consistency.
If mixture seems too stiff, thin with a little additional cream.
