Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
1 c. raisins (or chopped dates)
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. light molasses
2 eggs
2 c. quick oats

Preparation

Stir dry ingredients together.
Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and eggs until light and fluffy.
Stir in flour then oats, raisins and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 about 8 minutes.
