Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 green tomatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. corn meal
    salt and pepper
    oil (for frying)
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix flour, corn meal and salt and pepper. Add tomatoes and gently stir to evenly coat tomatoes. Transfer to a large, hot skillet with enough oil to nearly cover then. Once well browned on one side, turn and brown the other side. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
